The Polesworth School
"The Polesworth School 6th Form at Tomlinson Hall this year is celebrating another excellent academic performance at A Level.
"The average points score is well above last years' national average and in line with a long history of very high achievement.
"Behind these exceptional results, is a wide range of individual success stories.
"Outstanding performances include: Tom Byrne (4xA*) who is going to Cambridge to read Human, Social and Political Science, Jessica Ball (2xA*, A) – Reading Law at Nottingham, Alex Carney (A*A*AA), Philip Chapman (Ax3) – reading mathematics and Philosophy at Bristol, Ryan Clarke (A*A*AA) – Dentistry at Liverpool, Louisa Facchino-Stack (AAAB) – Medicine at Bradford, Reece Langham (A*AAB) – Sociology at Birmingham, Laura Marsh (AAA) – History at Warwick."
Headteacher Philip Hamilton said, "This exceptional academic success has given our students enormous opportunities and I know they will go on and be successful in their chosen fields.
"We are all extremely proud of them, and their commitment to their studies and contribution to our wider school community has been second to none.
"The vast majority of our students are heading for University, including some of the most prestigious in the country. This success has been made possible by outstanding teaching, guidance and support. I wish everyone the very best for the future."
